I waited on Jerry Stiller in 1987. I was 23 yrs old and not very good at my job, but he was very kind.

Jerry Stiller didn't die, he just went up to Heaven to air his grievances.

I love that he recognized the pandemic and what everyone else is going through all while mourning his dad and saying how fortunate he is to have been with him. 👍🏼

The bike story is a perfect story. Ben needs to add that to a movie.

The stolen bike story really speaks to what kind of person Jerry was. First, he was willing to run for blocks to chase someone and try and get his son's bike back. Then when he realized the situation of the kid who stole the bike, he let him keep it because he figured he needed it more than Ben did.

Respect for Ben, who was able to hold it together while giving him this beautiful tribute, but also especially with selflessness, sensitivity and diplomacy, while also thinking of countless others who also have lost loved ones during this time, and too many to this merciless virus. Such a surreal time :( RIP Jerry Stiller

My father was good friends with Jerry Stiller...I’d like to think they’re somewhere having some good belly laughs with Joan, and Johnny, and the rest of the gang, watching all the madness unfold!

What a family overall, but Ben and Jerry were two of the most hilarious people I've ever witnessed. Ben looks beautiful, aging like a fine wine, and wish I could just hug him. His dad was a rock star and seemed like a heck of a loving dad!! RIP... what a blessing he was to this earth!

It must be so hard to deal with a loss in the spotlight. But at least he gets to see all the love people have for his dad.

I know exactly what Ben means about this being a weird time for him. I lost my parents within 5 months of each other in late 05/early 06. When they go, it's very sobering to feel so incredibly bereft and alone and weird to be without them. There's no generation ahead of one anymore, and it's so sad and, well, weird. When one is close to parents, the loss is staggering. He has my deepest sympathy, and I hope being able to watch their performances from countless TV shows over the years brings him and his family comfort.

I haven't seen Ben Stiller in a while. It's strange to see him with gray hair now

"Serenity Now!" What a star. He truly had me crying so many times, and when my sister does anything wrong at family events I shout "You're dead to me!". Then my mother shouts "Don't say that!", I shout "Its from a show" and there I am, my sister laughing, my mother shouting, my dad just folding his arms wishing he had taken precautions 48 years ago and there it is is, as if by magic, I have created a little bit of Costanza Festivus madness in England. I appreciate that one of those lines is from King of Queens but thats ok, because my sister has never seen Seinfeld whereas I have them all on DVD, but she is a King of Queens fan. Love from and Englishman in France. Rest in Peace Mr Stiller senior Sir. Bless you, and as for Ben Stiller, well, all I can say is that the helicopter scene in 'Mitty' also caused me to make a leap... I watched that movie against my will (because it was a gift from an ex), at The WORST time of my life, and it really hit me! I have been in the air ever since... Not quite high enough to look back at Planet Earth yet, but at least I am now on the launch-pad. Thanks, the film is a motivational-masterpiece, one that I have since passed on to someone else in greater need. I will buy another copy and perhaps keep it in my medicine cabinet... I recommend everyone who is lost and at a crossroads does the same. 🏆 🇬🇧

Ben talks about his dad being quiet and sensible - clearly he got that trait from Jerry. I have seen Ben in a few things being serious but for the most part, it's always something we are laughing at. He has a very kind, and heart-filled side to him as well. Rest peacefully Jerry.
